The secret to a delicious christmas turkey recipe, specially roast turkey is to make sure that the turkey is cooked evenly, which means using a meat thermometer to ensure that the thickest part of the turkey has reached a temperature of at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Additionally, it’s important to baste the turkey regularly to keep it moist, and to let it rest for at least 20 minutes after it’s cooked to allow the juices to redistribute. Finally, choosing the right seasonings and herbs to flavor the turkey can make a big difference in terms of flavor. Some classic options include garlic, rosemary, and thyme.

Easy Christmas Turkey Recipe 

Ingredients

  • 1 whole turkey (5-6 kg), thawed
  • 1/4 cup of melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 carrot, chopped
  • 1 celery stalk, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1/4 cup of chopped fresh herbs, such as rosemary, thyme, and sage
  • 2 cups of chicken broth

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Good degrees for christmas roast turkey recipe.

In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter and olive oil. Brush the mixture all over the turkey, and season with salt and pepper.

Step 3

Pour the chicken broth into the bottom of the pan.
